selviPrivacy Policy

This policy covers Selvi 3.0 for iPhone and iPad and selviapp.com, developed and operated by Serhii Halchynskyi. Selvi 3.0 is currently being prepared for release. These app details describe version 3.0; they are not a statement about how the older 2.2 app processes data.
Your scripts, settings, and recordings
Script titles and text, editing dates, and reading preferences are stored in the app's local storage. Videos you record, including their audio, are saved in Selvi's recording library on your device. The teleprompter overlay is a reading aid and is not included in the recorded video.
Selvi does not upload these scripts or recordings to a Selvi account or server. The current app has no account registration, advertising SDK, or app analytics service. Local app data may be included in device backups, including iCloud Backup, depending on your Apple settings.
Voice following
When you enable voice following, Selvi uses microphone audio to match your speech to your prepared text. Recognition runs on your device, using Apple's local speech recognition or a local Whisper model, depending on the device and language. Selvi does not send this audio to a remote transcription service.
Audio fragments and recognition results are processed temporarily to move the prompt. Selvi does not create a separate saved transcript file for this feature. If you are also recording a video, its audio remains part of that saved video.
Downloading speech models
Preparing voice following may require an internet connection to download language or model files. Apple manages downloads for its speech models. Selvi's Whisper component downloads model and tokenizer files from Hugging Face and its delivery infrastructure. Files may need to be downloaded again if they are unavailable or need replacing.
These requests expose connection information to the providers, such as an IP address and technical request details. Hugging Face describes logging service use, IP addresses, and device information in its privacy policy. Downloading model files does not send your scripts, recordings, or microphone audio for transcription.
Camera, microphone, and Photos permissions
Selvi requests camera and microphone access for its camera features, recording, and voice following. You can change these permissions in your device settings. Features that need a denied permission may be unavailable.
Saving a recording to Photos is your choice. Selvi requests permission to add that video to your library; it does not request access to read your existing Photos library. Exported videos may be synced or backed up according to your Photos and iCloud settings.
Sharing a video
The share button opens Apple's system share sheet. A recording is passed to the destination you select, such as another app or a file-storage service. That destination handles the file under its own terms and privacy practices. Deleting a video from Selvi does not delete copies already exported to Photos or shared elsewhere.
Visiting selviapp.com
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes connection and request information to deliver and protect the site, including IP addresses, request details, and technical traffic or security information. Hosting logs or metrics may be available through the service dashboard, depending on its configuration.
Cloudflare security features may use cookies to manage traffic or verify requests. The cookies used depend on the features enabled and the request. Visiting the website does not give it access to the scripts or recordings stored in the Selvi app.
We do not add advertising pixels, third-party analytics scripts, or marketing cookies to this website. Fonts and images are served with the site. Language links do not create a saved preference or require cookies.
Contacting support
If you email support@selviapp.com, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use this correspondence to respond to your request and related follow-up. Our email provider and yours also process the message.
Please include only information needed for your request. You do not need to send a private script or recording to ask a general question. You can contact the same address to ask about or request deletion of support correspondence.
Support email is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing and handled in Gmail (Google). We keep correspondence while it is needed to handle your request and related follow-up. You can ask us to delete it; copies in providers’ backups may remain under their retention practices.
Storage, deletion, and external providers
Your saved scripts and recordings remain in Selvi's local storage until you delete them or the app's data is otherwise removed. You can delete scripts and recordings in the app. Backups and exported copies must be managed separately. Speech model files may remain cached for later use.
Connection logs, website data, and support correspondence are subject to the relevant provider's processing, retention, and backup practices. Those providers may process information in countries other than your own. This policy does not promise one deletion deadline or one storage location across all providers. We cannot access or delete the app's local files remotely.
